Clinical EFT Session

Clinical EFT is a tapping technique that combines acupressure points with focused awareness to help release stored emotional and nervous system tension. By gently tapping on specific meridian points while bringing attention to a particular feeling, memory, or pattern, EFT helps calm the body's stress response and supports the nervous system in releasing what it's been holding onto.

Caroline brings a trauma-informed and IFS (Internal Family Systems) parts-work-informed approach to this work, meaning sessions are held with sensitivity to how trauma lives in the body and nervous system, and with an understanding that different parts of you — including protective or wounded parts — may show up and are met with compassion and curiosity. This lens allows the work to unfold at a pace and depth that feels safe and supportive for you.

These sessions are empowering — supporting you in bringing forward inner clarity, calm, and resilience to navigate the changing terrain of your life. The goal is to support and empower you to move through transitions with the support of all your inner resources and wisdom.

This session is especially supportive for processing anxiety, overwhelm, grief, or the emotional shifts that often accompany major life transitions — offering a gentle, body-based approach to emotional release that doesn't require you to "talk it all out."

What to Expect from a Clinical EFT Session

Your session begins with a conversation about what's present for you — a feeling, a pattern, or a specific situation you'd like to work through. Caroline holds space with warmth and attunement, allowing you to lead the pace and depth of the session.

From there, you'll be guided through tapping on specific acupressure points while gently bringing awareness to what's arising. There's no need to have the "right words" or a fully worked-out story — sometimes simply naming a feeling or sensation is enough to begin.

Sessions are done seated, fully clothed, in a private and supportive space. You remain in control throughout — of what you share, how deep you go, and where the session takes you.

Most clients leave feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to their own inner resources — whether that shows up as insight, relief, or simply a felt sense of ease.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Clinical EFT?

Clinical EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a tapping technique that combines acupressure points with focused awareness to help release stored emotional and nervous system tension. Caroline guides you through tapping on specific meridian points while gently bringing attention to a particular feeling, memory, or pattern — helping calm the body's stress response and support release.

How is this different from massage?

Clinical EFT is not hands-on bodywork — it's a guided, verbal-and-tapping process. Rather than working through tension in the muscles directly, EFT works with the nervous system and emotional patterns through gentle self-tapping, guided by Caroline. It can be a wonderful complement to bodywork, or a supportive session entirely on its own.

Do I need to talk about what's bothering me in detail?

Not necessarily. Caroline is there as a peer, holding attuned space so you're able to connect with yourself — sometimes just naming a feeling or sensation is enough. You're always in control of what you share and how deep you go.

What can Clinical EFT help with?

Clients often use EFT to work through anxiety, overwhelm, grief, stress, difficult emotions tied to life transitions, or patterns of tension they haven't been able to shift through bodywork alone. It's a gentle, body-based approach to emotional processing.

Will I be lying on a table for this session?

EFT sessions are done seated. Caroline holds a space for deep listening, with warmth and attunement, allowing your own inner knowing to emerge. This work is deeply empowering and affirming of your innate ability to find balance, resilience, and clarity.

Can I add Aroma Point Therapy to my EFT session?

Yes. For an additional 15 minutes and $25, Caroline can integrate targeted essential oils applied to key acupoints alongside your tapping session, pairing plant medicine with EFT to support deeper energetic release.

Is Clinical EFT considered a form of therapy or medical treatment?

No. Clinical EFT is not a substitute for therapy or medical treatment. The client is empowered to lead the sessions and is responsible for consulting with their mental health care providers and physicians to assess whether Clinical EFT is a good adjunctive support for their care. If you're currently working with a therapist or physician, EFT can be a helpful complement to that care, not a substitute for it.

How many sessions will I need?

This is unique to each client and up to you to decide based on your needs. Some clients find clarity in a situation after just one session; others may wish to have more sessions to support progress working toward a specific life goal or transition. Caroline can help you find a rhythm that makes sense for you.
